In a closed-loop system, a Re SpA brake on the unwind stand works together with load cells that measure web tension and a controller that adjusts braking torque automatically. R.I.K. supplies each of these components: Combiflex CX and Extreme XT pneumatic brakes, Eleflex electromagnetic powder brakes for lighter webs such as film and foil, T-One and T-Two tension controllers, and CB base-mounted, CF and CH flange-mounted and CK through-shaft load cells with the Pyxis amplifier.
